At 1110 NRC report 1700974 came through about a several hundred gallon release to the Sugar River in Claremont, NH. After receiving an updated situational report from the on-scene NH DES responder, the spill has increased to 1800 gallons with a potential of 4000 gallons from an AST. Based on the limited information available at the time it appears the spill started Sunday night due to a transfer pump failure. The PRP (Howe Motors Dealership) has hired Clean Harbors as their cleanup contract, and they are currently in route.
