On Feb 20 2015 the NRC received two reports (NRC 1108587 and 1108591) that a vehicle accident involving a tanker truck carrying diesel fuel had caused the release of at least 1000 gallons of diesel into a drainage ditch that leads directly to a nearby creek. The accident is located at a pilot travel station on I-75, near mile marker 88 near Ashburn, Turner County, GA. OSC Jordan Garrard has been mobilized to the scene to ensure response activities are adequate.
