At 0700 hours on 03-FEB-06, a facility operator discovered a release of gasoline from the loading area at the facility. Facility personnel calculated that 5,000 gallons of gasoline had been released. The product had migrated off-site into a swamp area located about 600 yards from the Okatoma River. The PRP has hired four different cleanup contractors, USES is lead contractor. Operations are being conducted 24 hours a day. FOSC Russell and MSDEQ are on-scene to provide technical assistance and oversight of cleanup activities.
