The former National Petroleum Packers Site operated as a recycler of antifreeze and other glycol related waste products from 1993 to 1998 when a slow-down in business forced the facility to shut down. During the operational history of NPP, the facility process approximately 60,000 liters of waste glycol daily.
The NPP Site is located at 3501 Gribble Road, Stallings, Union County, North Carolina (35.0847089 latitude, -80.6782999 longitude). The Site is approximately 2.9 acres in size and consists of 29 ASTs, three buildings (one warehouse and two storage sheds), along with other various sized containers.
ERRB completed a fund-lead time critical removal action at the property at the Site on February 15, 2011.
