The National Response Center (NRC) was notified on December 8,2014 of a Kinder Morgan pipeline release in Belton, Anderson County, South Carolina. The report stated that a 26" pipeline has been shut down and that crews were on site locating the leak.

The leak is located near agricultural fields and one home. The leak occured approximately 1,000 feet south of an unnamed tributary which empties into Browns Creek. Browns Creek ties into Broadway Creek which empties into Broadway Lake. Broadway Lake feeds the Rocky River.
